Lori was born in Chicago, IL and soon moved to Barren Plains, TN where her father became Pastor. After 7 years they moved to Pembroke, Ky where Lori graduated from Hopkinsville High School. She received her Associates Degree from Lincoln Trail Community College in Robinson IL. She received her Bachelor and Masters degrees in Special Education and Administration Supervision at Austin Peay State University. Lori taught Special education at Greenbrier Elementary, Watauga and Coopertown Elementary. She also taught Adult Education for 9 years at Workforce Essentials in Springfield. She recently retired from the Robertson County Board of Education after 31 years of dedication to the children. She is married to Randy Burgess and has two precious children Ashton and Chae. Lori loves working with children and watching them learn. She feels very blessed to be teaching at Grace Baptist Academy.
